assuming i already have rope, knives, shelter material, clothes etc etc
-Buy all the ammo i can.
-purchase a shotty + ammo
-buy lots of water, canned goods and dog food
-one thing that i loved about the DBDA books is the chars always picked up toilet paper.
-fuel additive to help it last longer
-generators
-bunch of gas cans (no gas though. there will be plenty shortly after the SHTF)
-get the heck out of the city. i live in denton which is 30 mins north of dallas. the whole nuke blast got me depressed

Every Deployment I've been on has seen shortages of TP at some point or another. After it happened the first time, I always made sure to bring a four pack in my gear. Wife sends me another four pack a week or two after I arrive, so I'm usually set.

Needless to say, TP is high on the list of essential supplies.
